Questions, answered.
The things resellers ask before they start. If yours isn’t here, a real person is one email away.
What is ItemLogue?
ItemLogue is an inventory and profit tracker for resellers. You scan a receipt or photograph a haul, and it logs every item, splits the costs, watches return deadlines, and works out your real profit when something sells.
Watch itIs ItemLogue on iOS and Android?
Yes — ItemLogue is built for both iPhone and Android. Your account and data sync across devices.
Which marketplaces does it work with?
All of them — record what you buy and sell across eBay, Poshmark, Depop, Mercari, Vinted, Facebook Marketplace and more, from one place. You pick the platform when you record a sale.
Do you plan to connect directly to marketplaces?
Where a platform offers a native connection — eBay, Etsy and Shopify are on our radar — we’re looking at pulling your sales in automatically. For everything else, recording a sale is just a few taps — and it’s the good part: you log the sale and watch your real profit land right there. It’s a small habit that keeps you close to what’s actually working, and it’s how the numbers stay honest. It all stays fully mobile too — no browser, no desktop, no spreadsheet — so it works wherever you source. Want a platform prioritized? Tell us at [email protected].
How is profit calculated?
When you save a haul, ItemLogue spreads shipping, fees, discounts and tax across the items so each one carries its true cost. When an item sells, it subtracts the platform fee and shipping from the sale price and compares that to the item’s cost. The result is real profit — not a rough guess.
Watch itDoes it work offline?
You can capture receipts and photos with no connection — they queue on your device and upload once you’re back online. Saving and editing records needs a connection so your data stays consistent everywhere.
How does scanning work on the free plan?
Scanning a receipt or haul photo has a real software cost — so the free Basic plan includes a batch of scans that refreshes every month, across receipts, haul photos and imported screenshots. Run out and the rest of ItemLogue keeps working — keep adding items by hand, and your profit still lands the moment something sells. Pro removes the scan limit for normal use.
Watch itDo I have to pay to use ItemLogue?
No. Basic is free, with a fresh batch of scans every month plus inventory, sales, reports and reminders. Pro removes scan limits for active resellers and adds CSV import, insights and the year-end accountant pack. Pro covers normal reselling use; fair-usage limits apply to automated or very high-volume scanning.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
Nothing is deleted. Your inventory, sales and reports stay, and you keep read-only access plus CSV export. Resubscribe whenever you like and full access returns exactly as you left it.
Can I bring in data from a spreadsheet?
Yes. ItemLogue imports a standard CSV — items and sales — with validation and a preview before anything is saved. If your file needs a hand, support will help you map it.
Watch itWill it remind me before a return window closes?
Yes. Set a return window when you log a haul, and ItemLogue counts it down on the item and sends a push before it closes — so you never get stuck with something you could have returned. Retail buys prefill a default window; thrift and marketplace buys start blank.
Watch itHow does it stop me selling the same item twice?
When you mark an item listed on more than one platform and it sells on one, ItemLogue reminds you to pull the other listings down — so you don’t sell it twice and eat a cancellation.
Watch itCan I track personal items too, not just resale stock?
Yes. Items you’re selling from your own closet can be logged as personal — kept separate from your business numbers, with their own personal-sale view.
How do I find a specific item or sale?
Fastest is to search by name. If you’re scrolling instead, mind the sort — tabs default to “Last updated,” so anything you just touched is at the top, but switch to “Date” and a back-dated sale or an older buy drops to its own date, not the top. You can also filter by status or return window. One catch on the Sell tab: the “Recent (30 days)” filter hides sales dated over 30 days ago, even one you entered today — clear it to see them.
Watch itCan I find a physical item by scanning it?
Yes. ItemLogue prints QR labels for your items and storage bins (a Pro feature) — pick the paper and grid, then print and cut. Scan an item’s label to open its detail, or scan a bin’s label to see everything stored inside it. It also reads a product’s own barcode if you’ve linked one. Turns a wall of bins into something you can search from your phone.
Watch itIs my data secure?
Your records are stored on managed cloud infrastructure and scoped to your account — no other user can read them. You can export everything or delete your account at any time.
How do I delete my account?
Open the app and go to Settings → Account → Delete account, then type DELETE to confirm — your access ends immediately and your data is marked for deletion. No longer have the app installed? You don’t need to reinstall: email [email protected] from your account email and we’ll delete it for you. Full details are on itemlogue.com/delete-account.
How do I get help?
Email [email protected] — a real person will get back to you. Import help, account questions, anything: that’s the address.
Still have a question?
