Privacy Policy

Last updated July 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information ItemLogue collects, how it is used, the providers that help us run the service, and the rights you have. ItemLogue is operated by 31 North Horizon LLC (the “Company”, “we”, “us”), which is the data controller for the purposes of the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). By using ItemLogue you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Account information — your name or display name, email address, and the sign-in provider you choose (Google, Apple, or email and password).
  • Content you add — receipt images, item and haul photos, sale screenshots, item details, costs and prices, sales records, tags, and notes you enter or capture. Some of this is financial information about your reselling activity.
  • Text extracted from your images — when you scan a receipt or photo, the text and item details read from that image (for example store name, item names, and amounts).
  • Subscription information — your plan, entitlement status, and AI scan usage, received from the app store’s billing system and our subscription provider. We never receive or store your full payment card details.
  • Notification tokens — if you enable push notifications, a device push token and device type, used to deliver the reminders you turn on.
  • Usage, device, and diagnostic information — app version, device type, time zone, and crash and error diagnostics (which may include a device identifier and IP address), used to operate, secure, and improve the app.

2. How we use your information, and our legal bases

We use your information for the purposes below. Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis for each is shown in brackets.

  • Provide, maintain, and sync ItemLogue and your inventory across your devices [performance of our contract with you].
  • Read receipts and photos and extract item details [performance of our contract with you].
  • Manage subscriptions, entitlements, and AI scan allowances [performance of our contract with you].
  • Send the notifications you enable, such as return-deadline reminders [your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings].
  • Keep the service secure, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and improve the app [our legitimate interests in running a secure, reliable service].

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your content for advertising or for training third-party AI models.

3. AI-assisted scanning

When you scan a receipt or a haul photo, the image is sent to Google Cloud services — Google Cloud Vision and the Gemini models — which read the image and return structured text and item details. Marketplace receipt screenshots and PDFs are read by the Gemini models directly. These providers process the image and extracted text only to provide that feature on our behalf and under their data-processing terms; the content is not used for advertising and not used to train their models for other customers. Automated extraction can make mistakes — always review the results before saving.

Recognition providers receive only what a feature needs: the images you choose to scan, and — when you use optional AI features such as auto-categorization or the listing assistant — the item name and category you submit for that item. Your costs, prices, profit figures, sales records, tags, and notes are stored in your account and are not sent to these recognition providers.

4. Service providers (subprocessors)

ItemLogue relies on the following providers, who process your information only as needed to provide their part of the service:

  • Supabase — cloud database, file storage, and authentication; holds your account and content.
  • Google Cloud (Cloud Vision and Gemini) — text and image recognition for receipts and photos.
  • RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management.
  • Apple App Store and Google Play — sign-in, in-app purchases, and billing.
  • Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivery of the notifications you turn on.
  • Sentry — crash and error diagnostics.

Each provider is bound by a data-processing agreement limiting their use of your information to providing their service to us.

5. International data transfers

We and our providers operate primarily in the United States, so your information may be processed in the United States and other countries. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, these transfers rely on appropriate safeguards — principally the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses — incorporated into our providers’ data-processing agreements. You can contact us for more information about these safeguards.

6. Data retention and deletion

Your content is kept while your account is active. You can export your data as CSV at any time from the app. When you delete your account in Settings, access ends immediately and your data is marked for deletion; it is then removed, except where we must retain limited information for legitimate operational, security, or legal reasons (such as security and abuse-prevention logs). You can also remove older receipt images from within the app.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal information: to access it, correct it, delete it, export a portable copy, object to or restrict certain processing, and withdraw consent you have given. ItemLogue gives you direct control over much of this — you can export your data as CSV, manage notifications, and delete your account from Settings. For any request, or to ask what information we hold, contact us at [email protected]. If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland and believe we have not handled your data properly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

8. Security

Your records are stored on managed infrastructure and scoped to your account by access controls, so other users cannot read them. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.

9. Children

ItemLogue is not intended for anyone under 18, or the age of majority where they live. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date above shows the current version. Material changes will be notified in the app or by other reasonable means.
